- Where can I park at the Lower Hutt Events Centre?
The Lower Hutt Events Centre and Town Hall are connected to a public pay and display car park providing 40 spaces. The Centre City Plaza car park is located 250 metres from the venue and the large Riverbank car park is 800 metres from the centre. There are many side street car parks available and some are free all day. The daily parking charges vary from $4.50 to $8.00 per day
- What public transport options are available to get me to the Lower Hutt Events Centre?
From Wellington the Airport Flyer Bus service will deliver you to the Queensgate shopping mall and return you to Wellington. The Events Centre is a 4 minute walk from there. Regular train services operate between Wellington Central and Waterloo & Melling stations, and it is a short taxi fare or a 20-minute walk to the Events centre from either of the train stations. The Event Centre is a 22km journey from the Wellington International airport and is an approximate $80 taxi fare depending on your time of travel.
- Can I order a Taxi after the event?
Yes you can, we work with all Taxi and Shuttle companies and our team can assist with bookings. Uber is also available.
- Is the Town Hall next to the Lower Hutt Events Centre?
The Lower Hutt Events Centre and the Town Hall are located next to one another and situated in the Central City Precinct of Lower Hutt.
- Can we bring in our own food and beverage to the Lower Hutt Events Centre?
Depending on the event it is acceptable to bring in your own water bottle or coffee. Food is to be consumed outside the venue or can be purchased from the onsite Lower Hutt Events Centre café.
- Can we use our own caterers?
The onsite caterers have been contracted to provide the catering for all events. If you have specific needs these can always be discussed with our team.
- Can you please describe your accessibility access?
The Lower Hutt Events Centre has ramp access leading to the doors at both entrances. Access into the Events Centre main auditorium, Town Hall, café and accessible toilets are all from the ground floor. Lift access to the level one meeting rooms is available.
- What food and beverage facilities are available at the venue?
The Lower Hutt Events Centre has its own onsite café providing breakfast, lunch and in-between snacks plus a full range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. For large events the centre has a commercial kitchen able to cater for up to 650 attendees in the main auditorium.
- How do i access the Event Space for pack in?
You can access the Event Space for pack in by going through the Hutt City Council car park on the east side of Lower Hutt Events Centre building, there you are able to have vehicles enter the space via dock way.
- Do you offer alternative dietary requirements?
We are very sensitive to all dietary requirements and are able to accomodate most requests highlighted in advance.
- Are you a licensed venue? Can we BYO alcohol?
Lower Hutt Events Centre is licensed until 1am. Beverages will be allowed to be brought in from outside with prior approval from the Centre.
- What additional items does venue hire include?
Lower Hutt Events Centre provides a dedicated coordinator to assist in event planning, a floor supervisor on the day, all tables and chairs, a coat rack, all standard associated set up and cleaning activities.
- Do you have WIFI?
WIFI is available throughout the centre.
