Sarin Investments were proud to host Unmasked, a lavish masquerade-themed banquet, on November 23, 2018 at the Lower Hutt Events Centre to celebrate its recent opening.
250 guests were welcomed by fire performers and Las Vegas stilt-walkers before enjoying canapés and champagne in the atrium. The evening proceeded in the auditorium with a formal whakatau and fantastic opening speeches from Sarin Investments Director Raman Sarin, Hutt City Deputy Mayor David Bassett and Horwarth HTL Managing Director Stephen Hamilton. Gratitude was expressed towards the Hutt City Council to the Tutaki Cafe staff to the partners and clients to the locals. Unmasked was an opportunity to acknowledge the devotion and commitment of everyone involved in bringing the Lower Hutt Events Centre to life.
An exquisite dinner of sous-vide prawn roulade, pan-seared chicken involtini, slow braised lamb neck and mango cheese mousse were served alongside a selection of refreshments. Colossal Circus brought excitement and charm with a cabaret show combining the talents of a local aerial silk artist, handbalancer and comedian Vinyl Burns. Delightful awards were then presented to guests with prizes including lunch with Hutt City Mayor Ray Wallace and stays at the DoubleTree by Hilton Wellington and Holiday Inn Queenstown. To wrap up the night, Hutt City Mayor Ray Wallace closed the event on a high note.
“The Unmasked event was fantastic and it was wonderful to have a chance to indulge in some extravagance for the evening. The event itself was fun and exciting from start to finish. We were greeted by all manner of performers and the service and staff was impeccable. The food was to die for, and the entertainment during the event was some of the most unique and funny I have had the pleasure to watch. A perfect accompaniment to the event. Unmasked was a great opportunity to showcase the Lower Hutt Event Centre so that we could really see the potential of the venue and the possibilities for our own event. The Atrium made such a fantastic meeting space to be able to greet, mingle and network and gather before going into the ballroom that was so glamorous and spacious, it was truly breathtaking to see how the space could be transformed and to be a part of such a sophisticated evening. I was so appreciative to be included in such an amazing launch event and to get the chance to meet some of the Sarin Investments staff and to be a part of their vision for the future.”
